About Loretta

I have been a travel agent since 2005, and for many years I worked on my own, until I joined Take Time To Travel in mid-2017. I’m really proud to be part of this great group of agents!

This blog/website started as a place to have a venue for the bunches and bunches of info that’s “too much” for a simple Facebook post, yet still something I long to share with my clients and friends. Personal thoughts, photos, articles, ideas, tips, tricks…all of it relevant to travel and taking time to slow down to be engaged participants in our lives and families.

My husband Ricky and I have 2 adult daughters and 4 incredibly adorable grandchildren. In 1996, Ricky and I took our first trip to Europe for our 15th anniversary. Europe absolutely seduced us! What we thought would be a “once in a lifetime” trip, or at least not repeated until retirement, became an almost yearly endeavor. And yes, we even managed to take our girls to Europe a few times, too, while they still lived at home.

In the last 22+ years, I’ve been incredibly blessed to have traveled multiple times through the cities and countrysides of Italy, France, and Germany, as well as destinations in 10 other countries within Europe. My personal favorite vacation destinations are just about anywhere in Italy or France! It’s been Italy and France that have kept me coming back, always planning the “next trip” in my head until I can plan it in real time. I love to travel in May, when the red poppies are blooming alongside the country roads and in hillside fields!

So is it any surprise that my travel specialty is European/Mediterranean vacations? My personal travel experiences through the years enhance the various professional trainings I’ve pursued to become a true expert whose guidance you can trust. But my knowledge and expertise aren’t strictly limited to Europe. When you’ve been doing this job for more than 13 years, you end up with A LOT of experience in multiple destinations worldwide. No matter the destination, my priority is to address your ideas and dreams, needs and wants, all while respecting a budget you’re comfortable with. Whether you go independently on a customized itinerary, on an escorted tour, by ocean cruise, by river cruise, or by any combination of those, my goal is to create a seamless, worry-free travel experience for you that exceeds your expectations and creates priceless memories for a lifetime.
